Fragmented feminine is a collection of the manifestations of abstract abjection towards the female nude. Derivative from personal experience and influenced by abject theory and feminist art theory, my pieces explore the abstraction of the female body: particularly arms and legs; unveiling its connotations of security, strength, fragility, sensuality and fetishism. As their surfaces, I apply fleshy tones and bruised hues, to further imply vulnerability and dejection, with washes of white porcelain; disguising or slightly exposing raw emotion within each piece.
