‘Of Body and Origin’ initiates Serena’s pursuit to unite her Cypriot heritage and craft: celebrating the traditional and contemporary within the Cypriot aesthetic. Informed by the body-ceramic vessel relationship, her forms are a visual embrace of the bold Cypro-Geometric silhouette, painted delineations, and vivacious colour palettes from Cypriot villages.
Subsequently, Serena to attend residencies at the Cyprus College of Art, delving deeper into Cyprus’ rich craft and cultural heritage, and discovering her familial roots.
